Scale Reduces the Heat Transfer Efficiency of Chillers

 

  1. Research has shown that scale reduces the heat transfer efficiency of chillers.
  2. Philip Kotz found that a scale layer of 0.3 mm thick deposit on a condenser tube surface resulted in a massive 21% loss of heat transfer.
